IntelliTools Classroom Suite LR1455
IntelliTools Classroom Suite conforms to the principles of universal design for learning—multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement—to help students who are struggling with challenging concepts in math, reading, and writing.
Curriculum,
Creativity, and Accountability in One!
The tools incorporate multimedia modeling,
animation, and auditory support to assist students with challenging concepts.
They take advantage of the infinite patience of the computer to provide as much
time and practice as each student needs.
IntelliTools Classroom Suite supports
the different ways students become engaged and motivated, whether through speech
feedback, larger text, or the use of color. Students also benefit from instant
natural feedback, and teachers can keep track of student progress.
IntelliTools Classroom Suite brings together into a cross-platform,
network-ready integrated suite our three award-winning classroom tools:
• IntelliPics Studio 3®- a multimedia presentation tool
• IntelliMathics 3®- a virtual math manipulatives tool
• IntelliTalk 3®- a talking word processor and writing tool
You'll love these easy-to-use, cross-curricular authoring and presentation
tools. And if you know our tools, you'll be delighted by their now integrated
functionality and network compatibility!
Classroom Applications
PreK-8 teachers can now give students cross-curricular classroom activities to
practice and track student responses using either the provided sample activities
or creating their own specific standards-aligned activities with the Tools'
handy templates. Classroom Suite provides the tools to help you achieve your
classroom goals, with:
• Curriculum-Based Activities
• Answer Tracking and Assessment
• Creativity and Self-Expression
Curriculum-Based Activities
Teachers can assign a series of activities for students. A sampling of 30
activities in four grade ranges in reading, writing, math, social studies, and
science come with Classroom Suite.
For example, a first-grade teacher can assign a phonics activity for students to
practice, and then assign a related writing activity aligned to the decoding
skills the students have just explored.
Answer Tracking and Assessment
Teachers can track students' activity responses and quiz answers, and then
record, report, and print student records for student assessment. Program files
as well as student records and preferences can be stored on a network server.
• A seventh-grade science teacher can have students label parts of a cell
using IntelliPics Studio 3, then print their diagrams, and/or have their scores
available for a parent-teacher conference.
Network versions allow you and your administrators easy access to student
assessment details over the network. You'll no longer have to collect data from
individual computers. Now it's centralized!
Classroom Suite tracks each student's performance in his or her own private
portfolio, records student responses, compares them to expected answers, and
makes their scoring results available in both detailed and summary reports.
Both students and teachers benefit from this powerful capability. Students can
check answers as they work, getting immediate feedback on their written work,
math problem, or multimedia activity. Teachers can make this answer-checking
option available for practice and later remove it for testing. Teachers can
quickly access student work and view records of their progress. They can also
view and print reports of student work without having to open individual
documents.
• Consistent user interface among the three tools: learn one, learn them all
• Full student portfolio management—from student log-in and assignment systems,
to answer-tracking, to storing and printing records, to performance assessment
• Instant authoring capabilities with varied templates, sample activities, and
tutorials
• Customizable toolbars to work in a WYSIWYG environment with drag-and-drop
functionality
• Integrated word prediction to assist in writing fluency
• Embedded Help for ongoing and immediate support
• Tracking of individual student access needs and setting preferences across the
three tools
• Optional Supplementary Access Kit (Overlays and Access Guide for IntelliKeys®)
• Network system compatibility
• Cross-Platform and Mac OS X compatibility
Universal Access
The concept of Universal Design—that all students, regardless of physical and
learning differences, have access to our products—has been a long-standing
philosophy that guides IntelliTools' software and hardware innovations. Our
programming environments enable our software to feature speech output,
single-switch scanning, and automatic sending of IntelliKeys overlays, in
addition to access by a standard keyboard, mouse or touch-screen. Our products
also meet the accessibility requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation
Act.
