ClaroRead Premium

ClaroRead Plus is available as the ClaroRead Premium USB Mobile version. This allows a user to run ClaroRead Plus directly from the USB memory stick, and does not install any files on the PC. This is ideal for students on the go or employees in the workplace and does not require an individual user to purchase multiple copies. In the workplace or public places users often do not have administrator privileges so new programs cannot be installed, however with the Premium USB version no files are loaded or stored on the system, allowing full functionality. System settings and preferences are stored on the USB memory stick. ClaroRead Premium also features a RealSpeak Voice and a Mindfull concept mapping software solution.

Speech Features
ClaroRead's ability to make the computer talk with a high quality, human synthesized voice is one of its key innovative features. It includes 3 RealSpeak Solo voices, plus options for 15 add-on languages. With ClaroRead you have the following extensive range of speech facilities:

• Read text back from anywhere within Microsoft Word for proofing.
• Read text back instantly once selected by your mouse. Great for making web pages talk.
• Echo back letters, words or sentences as they are typed into your computer. Great for confirming what you have typed.
• Automatically hear many menu items and objects read by hovering the mouse over the item.
• Echo back words and phrases dictated into any text processor or email application using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
• Make Audio files (.wav) from documents for listening to on your PC or a portable audio player.

Scanning Features
ClaroRead PLUS features text to speech and scanning capabilities. The ClaroRead PLUS OCR engine is Scan2Text, which uses powerful OmniPage optical character recognition technology to convert documents into Microsoft Word text, which can then be read back immediately by ClaroRead. To scan and convert a paper document or PDF image into text from within Microsoft Word, click the Scan Button and:

• Read documents back using the speech features of ClaroRead.
• Edit, cut and paste the text to produce new documents.


Font Features
When working in Microsoft Word, ClaroRead’s Font Button allows you to modify the font size, type, and color of the whole document very easily. You can:

• Increase or decrease the font size.
• Change the font to one of 3 popular fonts with one click.
• Change the color of the text of a whole document, and change the background color for easier viewing.


Spacing Features
Text character, line and paragraph spacing using Microsoft Word menus requires some detailed knowledge. ClaroRead makes it simple to space out text. Pressing the Spacing Button when working in Word will help you:

• Expand spacing.
• Change line spacing.
• Changes the number of points (spaces) after the end of each paragraph.


Word Prediction
ClaroRead contains a word prediction feature, which can be useful for certain computer users. ClaroRead uses a base prediction dictionary consisting of the most frequently used words in the English language. The Prediction List will automatically appear by your cursor during typing. It only appears when it is attempting a prediction. There are also a number of word Prediction Settings that will modify the prediction towards the typical content of your writing.


Homophone Features
Homophones are words that are pronounced alike even if they differ in spelling or meaning, such as “pair” and “pear”. ClaroRead Homophone features will:

• Mark all the homophones in a document.
• The Check Feature will list alternative words that sound the same, along with the meaning of each word.
• Mark homophones in color as you type.


Check Features
ClaroRead provides a single Check Button for use in Microsoft Word that combines a homophone dictionary, thesaurus and spellchecker, making the checking of your text and documents easier and more comprehensive.

• If a word is a homophone the Homophone Check Box will appear, along with meanings.
• If the word has alternative words with the same or similar meaning, the Meaning Check Box will appear.
• You can SpellCheck individual words or the whole of your document at any point.


Talking Calculator Feature
ClaroRead adds a voice to the Windows Calculator. Enter the sum with the numeric keyboard and the figures will be echoed back to you. The buttons on a standard and scientific calculator can also be spoken, providing the speech settings are enabled.
