Text can be spoken at any point by highlighting individual sections of text and pressing Play - great for proofreading. Close integration with Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer means you can click and play at any point in a document or web page and any accessible text under the mouse can be spoken if needed.
- Supports Microsoft Office & Open Office Applications - ClaroRead Offers full integration and support for Microsoft Word 2003 & 2007 including playback, homophone support, dictionary, font and spacing commands, a thesaurus, spell checker button and save to audio function. Newly implemented support for Open Office 2.4 & 3.0 includes highlighting by word, word trail, sentence or paragraph but excludes focus sentence, homophone checker and spell checker.
- One-Click Word Checking Dictionary - Simply hold down the control key while hovering over your word and the Speaking Dictionary shows english definitions, context for the current spelling and a Google lookup button for more information. All correction made are remembered so you can review and learn from them later. Use this information to build your personal correction list and add directly to Microsoft Word’s Autocorrect tools.
- Homophone Support - ClaroRead will mark all homophones and difficult words in a new color and list alternative words that sound the same along with meanings of each suggestions. Over 2,000 pictures are included, and can be turned on or off, to help users select the correct homophone or choice of wording.
- Word Prediction - This powerful word prediction dictionary learns as you type, and rejects words that don't pass the automatic spellcheck. The Prediction List will automatically appear during typing and can be set to pop up near your cursor or be pinned to any point on the screen. The Advanced Settings Editor also allows the creation of multiple Prediction Dictionaries, ideal for creating subject and curriculum specific dictionaries.
